Pen Aviation Managing Director, Jean-Bernard Boura, had the honour of delivering a keynote address at the Higher Education for Industry Summit (HEIS) during the Putrajaya Festival of Ideas 2025.

In his keynote, he shared how sustainable aviation technologies can support Malaysia’s green transformation and long-term economic development. He highlighted how hybrid-electric aviation combined with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) offers immediate emissions reduction while Malaysia continues to build the infrastructure needed for the future. This approach supports national connectivity, creates high-value jobs, and opens doors to regional export opportunities.

He also emphasised the need for Malaysia to move forward with real implementation through regulatory sandboxes, local component localisation, and stronger collaboration between universities and industry players.

Pen Aviation extends its sincere appreciation to Professor Talal Yusaf for leading the discussion, and to Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah for the opportunity to be part of this important national conversation on sustainable aviation.
