Langkawi (Malaysia), May 2025: Global Systemes Asia (GSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pen Aviation Sdn Bhd (PEN) to jointly promote, market, and support the deployment of PEN’s Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in Malaysia’s defence and enforcement sectors. The collaboration includes joint market development, technical demonstrations, customer engagement, tender participation, and operational support services such as training, certification, and system deployment — establishing a strategic partnership aimed at achieving a significant milestone in the aviation sector.
Under the terms of the agreement, Global Systemes Asia and PEN Aviation will provide UAS platforms, training, technical support, and lead certification efforts, while also supplying demonstration units and documentation with GSA’s support. PEN will handle system customization and after-sales service. Global Systemes Asia (GSA) will act as the main liaison with Malaysian defence and enforcement agencies, leading stakeholder engagement, coordinating demonstrations and proposals, facilitating regulatory approvals, and supporting the development of local infrastructure for UAS maintenance and servicing. This move enhances both parties’ capabilities and positions them for sustained growth.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to elevating Malaysia’s footprint in the global aerospace landscape and advancing the nation’s industrial development.
