Pen Aviation and Safran Electronics and Defense are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to initiate a strategic collaboration that will significantly contribute to the evolution of the Malaysian aviation industry, with a particular focus on the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) sector.

The MOU signing ceremony was concluded successfully by Jean Bernard Boura, Managing Director of Pen Aviation, and Andjy Zouag, Deputy VP Aeronautic Key Accounts, Defense GBU representing Safran Electronics and Defense, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. The momentous ceremony was witnessed by respected dignitary, Mr. Ts. Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah, CEO of the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO).


The agreement signifies a substantial commitment between Pen Aviation and Safran Electronics and Defense, demonstrating a mutual dedication to collaborative endeavours. Through this strategic alliance, both entities will be able to define elements of workshare for the integration of Safran Electronics and Defense’s Euroflir 410 Airborne Optronic Systems on PEN UAS, including the PEN1360V, and explore mutually beneficial opportunities of cooperation. This partnership underscores the shared vision and commitment of both organizations steering the growth trajectory of the UAV sector and towards the advancement of the aviation industry.
